Welcome to our blog!
I'm finally starting a blog to keep everyone updated on our "exciting" life. I decided to take the plunge because I love reading Emily's blog (a friend from law school), and her husband (Matt) keeps asking when we are starting a blog - so here goes! Now, I will HAVE to remember to take my camera everywhere so I will actually have new material. I think the title describes pretty accurately what my focus will be. I'm starting with Caroline's birthday and working my way forward. Her party was Elmo themed - what 1 year old doesn't love Elmo? We began the festivities with her "smash" cake.
Then everyone got to enjoy cake that had not been poked, prodded or slobbered on.
After we opened presents, you can see what she enjoyed playing with the most - RIBBONS. She now plays with the other toys she received (we secretly threw the ribbon away).
As you can see from the last picture, she can walk on her own but has decided she's not going to yet. She can be so stubborn sometimes. We just hope she starts walking unassisted by the time she goes to kindergarten, although I think Cal has his doubts.

I am so excited about your blog!!! Caroline is so big and cute, I can't believe she is one. We have missed ya'll, I'm so glad we can keep in touch through our blogs.
